I have been having so many computer problems in the past few weeks. ARGH. I think they are all over now. I hope? I just have to remember to sit up straighter when typing, as the edge of my new Mac is rather sharper than the edge on my old Dell.

In (probably) happier news, I have started an online serial novel called Chatoyant College, available here. Check it out perhaps? Also if you like the concept of online serials and you don't mind a lot of hot, kinky sex mixed in with your fantasy, you should really check out An Intimate History of the Greater Kingdom, which is truly amazing.

In definitely absolutely happier news: It is my birthday tomorrow and NEIL GAIMAN IS COMING TO PHILADELPHIA AND I WILL GO SEE HIM WHEEEEEEE. (Why do I not have any Gaiman icons? This is very silly. I shall have to use an MLM icon instead.)

So, yeah, I feel like I should finally make an LJ post... it's been a while. So, a list of recent news in my life:

-I've gone vegan. Er, mostly-vegan; I'm still using honey and silk, and probably will continue to use angora. It's mostly about animal rights for me, and I don't feel that bees and silkworms are mistreated, or rabbits bred for fur. Eating vegan is not easy on a meal plan, though, even at Goucher! I'm eating... even more peanut butter than I already did. Yum, peanut butter. Also, I'm sad about the fact that I can no longer have eggs in my fried rice or pad thai. At least I know that Thai One On will happily do whatever you request with the pad thai, including taking out the eggs and adding extra tofu and broccoli. It has still been way too long since I've been there. Anyway. Rambling.

-Things with the boy are fantastic as ever. We have season passes to the Renaissance Festival. I have a new and very nice corset. Expect pictures eventually. I forgot my camera on Sunday, and I don't think anyone else took any pictures of me.

-My birthday is on Monday. Give me presents! Just not alcohol, even though I will be legally allowed to drink it--I still won't want to.

-My hair is still long and pretty :D

-I am growing increasingly fed up with Livejournal. (Also, this thread is just hilarious.) I'm planning to delete foundinabottle and will probably delete knitthenight. If I post any writing online it will be at my IJ, clare_dragonfly. (Shameless plug!) I'll probably post knitting content there, too, as well as at Ravelry. At this point, IJ, Ravelry, LHC, and a few other forums replace the communities I'm in fairly effectively. I intend to keep my main LJ, but mostly to keep up with my friends... if you guys would all move to IJ or GJ or something, I'd probably leave LJ. Because... it sucks.

-I AM NOT KNITTING FAST ENOUGH

-I have a spider plant!

-My classes this semester are all really, really awesome. We almost destroyed language in Queer Theory.
