There are four written by Marion Zimmer Bradley. In chronological order, it's The Forest House, then Lady of Avalon, then The Mists of Avalon (actually, the second jumps most of the time between the other two--the second picks up where the first leaves off, and the end of the second is very close to the beginning of the third). Priestess of Avalon, which I'm reading now, is written with Diana L. Paxson and takes place at the same time as the middle section of Lady of Avalon--well, it starts a bit before, and looks like it's going to go on for a number of years after. Then there are the two written solo by Diana L. Paxson (MZB died in 1999): Ravens of Avalon and Ancestors of Avalon. According to Wikipedia Diana L. Paxson is coming out with another one, Sword of Avalon. Actually, according to Wikipedia she also helped write the other two (not Mists), though in my copies she's only credited with helping. I haven't read any of the ones MZB didn't work on, though I'm interested, but so far Priestess is not as good as the others, so I'm hesitant to trust Diana L. Paxson.
